Readiness Is Love. And Europe Must Be Ready.
A civilisation that cannot defend itself will not survive itself.
This week, Europe took a step. Not a loud one. But a real one.€150 billion for our own defence — approved. Not to buy more weapons from others, but to awaken our own. To reforge a backbone of sovereignty, made in Europe.
For too long we have depended on others to shield us. We let American forces and technology guard our borders. We believed that treaties could replace strength. That softness was peace.
The new SAFE fund requires 65% of projects to be European-built — or Ukrainian. It’s not a number. It’s a line. Drawn between the Europe that abandoned its destiny, and the Europe that will now build it.
And here is the demand:
If Ukraine is to be treated as a shield, then Ukraine must also be treated as family. Not merely defended — but included. In procurements. In defence plans. In strategy. Because a civilisation does not outsource its front line. It embraces it.
This is the return of Europe. Of responsibility. Of the motherland Europe — not as blood, but as duty. As I write in This Is Civilisationism (out late 2025):
“You cannot love your civilisation, and ask someone else to die for it.”
We do not celebrate war. But we do celebrate readiness. Readiness is honour. Readiness is peace. Readiness is love.
And if Europe is to endure — and lead — it must be ready.Not just economically. Not just morally.But militarily. Industrially. Strategically.
This is not just a fund.It is a signal:Europe will rise.
And this time, - it will carry its own shield.
